During this COVID-19 period, it is impossible to host workshops at our Chinatown Studio, nor opening our retail shop.
However, we are still operating online to ensure that yarns can reach your doorsteps when you need them!
We have been formulating the best method to make our online class benefitting to people who are new to crochet 🙂
We put our heads together to think what are the commonly made mistakes by many beginners and how we can convey the message and techniques across easily without being physically beside you.
It is really not easy, but we have found a method.
I have little to no crochet experience, how do I start?
So this is how it goes!
First thing first, we are announcing the launch of our Crochet Starter Kit for beginners who have not crocheted before, or have problem starting their crochet journey.

In this Starter Kit, we have included all the tools that you need, including a complimentary short introduction and demonstration of how to use it.
The tools are made-in-Japan quality tools that will last you a lifetime. The yarns* provided are not-easy-to-split yarns that makes the beginner crochet journey a smoother one.
What’s included: a 3mm Grey Tulip Etimo Crochet Hook, a Clover Darning Needle set, a small toolbox of stitch markers and sewing pins, a crochet support tool and 2 small balls of beginner-friendly yarn.
This complimentary intro and live demonstration is not a class. It is a quick run through of what you need to know in order to start crocheting with our patterns and material kits. It is also a sneak peak to our online classes that we have specially created for complete beginners.

What is covered in the Crochet Concepts Online Class?
- short intro and quick demo of stitches
- understanding basic stitches (sc, inc, dec, ch, slst)
- working in rounds / rows / ovals
- reading basic patterns
This is a heavily condensed 2-hr session to cover basic topics. Please note that you might not have enough time to practice during the session. However, after attending this session, you’ll be eligible to attend the same Crochet Concepts session up to 3 times with no extra fees so long as there is availability*!
I do not have the tools
Don’t worry, this Crochet Concepts online workshop comes with a set of Crochet Starter Kit. It’ll be mailed to you before the class.
What if I already know the basics but I want to clarify certain concepts?

Where do I book my online class or consultation?

This is how much we can cover for a basics class. But please note that crochet is an ongoing learning journey. There are always new crazy stitches that comes popping up all over the net and Youtube! So always keep yourself abreast of new methods by exposing yourself to all sorts of new patterns and tutorials!
