Make a fluffy crochet scrunchie – Free crochet pattern
Hello everyone! I’m Erina, a crochet hobbyist! I’m invited by Angie to do a guest post on a scrunchy that I made as seen on TRH’s Instagram.

Hype on scrunchies
Recently during a visit to Tiny Rabbit Hole, I caught a glimpse of Angie’s crochet scrunchy and was instantly reminded of the many beautiful scrunchies that are popping up all over Pinterest and Instagram. This led me to create my own version with colours inspired from mood boards in Pinterest. I will be sharing my take on the scrunchies below.
Selecting yarns
For scrunchies, I’d prefer novelty yarns, like the fairy floss yarn Tiny Rabbit Hole carries. I like how I can make a simple crochet project interesting just by switching things up and using a fancy yarn. The fairy floss yarn is a little hard to work with; you can’t quite see the stitches properly but the seamless or ‘stitchless’ effect is absolutely worth the effort!
I’m also hooked on the Sirdar Happy Chenille series recently, it has a range of sweet colours that just stimulates my imagination. There’s so many things I would like to make with it! It’s soft and small; I call it my happy pill.
Why TRH?
Tiny Rabbit Hole is my place to go to get all the crochet supplies and chill out.
Stepping into the hole is like entering a candy store; it’s filled to the brim with so many goodies. The yarns look so pretty and appealing displayed on the shelves. I can never get enough of it.
My friend in Russia, especially likes the flesh coloured Tiny Rabbit Hole Puppy Yarn (#13) and their coloured safety eyes too!
Right now, TRH has Craft Hideout as a hidden outlet for crafters to hide in the burrow and crochet their hearts out!
Here comes the pattern
Here are some simple scrunchie patterns designed by Erina!
These scrunchies are the perfect project for beginners who are just starting out with crochet.
We have included only 4 variations here but you can mix it up with your own yarn choices and stitches to create your very own one of a kind scrunchy!
Don’t forget to tag and hashtag both @erin_aaaaaaaaa and @tinyrabbithole after you have finished making them! We would love seeing your pretty outcomes.
