I was so excited when I was contacted by my ex-schoolmate, Angeline! It’s been ages since we last met up.
Silvia, Angeline’s sister, was about to be proposed by her boyfriend, Daniel! Three weeks before the proposal, Angeline came up with an interesting idea, a Pompompurin holding the proposal ring! I was so pumped up as it was the first wedding-related project. I could imagine how important it was.
The project is about Pompompurin holding a love heart that has a secret pocket to hold the ring. Ehhh… what’s a Pompompurin? It’s a dog that loves to eat pudding and somewhat looks like a pudding! Hmm ya, I was quite confused for a while until I went on to read its bio online. And whoa~ Pompompurin is so cute! A little more info here.
Angeline and I discussed online to conceptualise the idea, did a few sketches and finally settled on the cutest design. This is a secret mission, all discussions and details have been kept absolute secret. Secret revealed = mission fail.
Now the design and drawings are ready. However, it was the busy Christmas season, there’s no luxury of time – only three days before the proposal. We have to complete the project no matter what. After all, no Pompompurin no proposal right? In that 3 days, I have given all that I can, to ensure everything went on smoothly on the big day.
After the proposal, Angeline gave me a thumbs up with photographs of Pompompurin holding the ring. It’s just so cute! I was so overjoyed even though it’s not even my proposal 😂

After the proposal, Silvia, the luckiest girl in the world, gave me a few words:
“Pompompurin is a character I really like. Having him be my ring holder is definitely more significant and sweet. It shows that my fiancé took the extra effort to make the proposal more special and meaningful.
It also adds to the display in my room as compared to a traditional box.
I intend to have Pompompurin displayed in my room when my new house is ready and will continue to use him as my ring holder when I need to take off my ring at night.”
According to Angeline, Silvia is really crazy about Pompompurin! She owns many Pompompurin related clothes, accessories, plushies. And now, even her proposal is Pompompurin themed! Guessed she must have agreed to the proposal because it’s Pompompurin! Ok I’m just joking. Her fiancé was so sweet to prepare such a personalised anniversary cum proposal for her!
A normal ring holder is so mainstream, why not propose with her favourite character holding her precious gem! Angeline also added that she likes our resting Pikachu and hopes to see Gudetama next in our website!
