Hello! I’ve heard that you’re interested in this life-size Pikachu pattern. Pokemon Go! is just too crazy! You wanna get a headstart from all the other Singaporeans out there right? If you’re just like me, then you’re really lucky as I’m gonna share this pattern with you =D
I chanced upon this website via Pinterest. It’s kind of daunting seeing everything in Japanese and 37 rounds of patterns going on in there. That’s just the body! Instead of feeling turned off by it, I decided to clench my teeth, brace myself, pick up my yarn and start crocheting. How courageous is that? Hahaha, alright just trying to be funny here.
It’s actually not difficult at all. It became easier after 2 failures. I finally figured out in my 3rd try. I hope that you guys can get it done on your first try =)
I don’t want you to start gawking at this pattern and pulling your hair out! Instead, I have re-written the pattern in an easier-to-understand crochet language that I believe most, or rather all of you are able to follow. Good luck~

FEET AND TAIL *to be updated soon!*
Apparently, I have designed the pattern for the feet and tail but I didn’t document it down. My dearest Pikachu has found a new owner, so I’ll be finding some time next week to do another one and update this section. If you’re already doing it and left just this little bit, feel free to PM/DM/IG/FB/Email/Carousell/etc me so that I can quickly finish up this section!
FACIAL FEATURES
- Using black felt, cut 2 circles for the eyes, 1 smaller circle for the nose and 1 ‘W’ shape for the mouth. Cut out 2 stripes for the back.
- Using red felt, cut 2 circles for the cheeks. This will be slightly smaller than the eyes.
- Using white felt, cut 2 tiny circles for the reflections in the eyes.
- Position the cut felt into the correct positions.
- Use a hot glue gun to glue them together.
Please send me pictures of your beautiful work when you’re done. Feel free to ask me any questions too =) If you have spot any errors in the pattern, please let me know and I’ll update it. Thank you!
